Feeding Rates by Stage

Piglets (Creep Feeding: Week 2–Weaning)

Introduce Fugo Pig Creep Pellets from week 2 alongside sow's milk. Start with just 50g/piglet/day and increase to 200g by weaning. This prepares the gut for dry feed and reduces post-weaning growth check.

Weaners (Fugo Sow & Weaner: 6–12 weeks)

After weaning (typically at 4–6 weeks), move to Fugo Sow & Weaner at 400–600g/piglet/day. This is the most critical growth phase — don't cut corners here.

Growers (12–22 weeks)

Switch to Fugo Pig Grower and increase feed to 1.5–2.5 kg/pig/day. Pigs should gain 500–700g/day on a good programme.

Finishers (22 weeks to slaughter)

Fugo Pig Finisher at 2.5–3 kg/pig/day. A pig on a good Fugo programme should reach 80–100 kg live weight in 6 months.

Breeding Sow Feeding

• Gestation (days 1–100): 2–2.5 kg Fugo Pig Breeder Meal/day. Don't overfeed in early gestation — obese sows have harder farrowings.
• Late gestation (days 100–115): Increase to 2.5–3 kg/day.
• Lactation: 4–6 kg/day depending on litter size. A sow nursing 10+ piglets needs maximum energy.

Tips to Improve Litter Size and Growth

• Add Fugo mineral licks or vitamin injections 2 weeks before farrowing
• Never restrict water — pigs need 5–10 litres per day minimum
• Keep feed fresh — spoiled pig feed causes respiratory problems and poor growth
• Good biosecurity reduces disease cost and keeps growth on track
