  • When you complete and submit the contact form on our website (name, email, phone, subject, and message).
  • When you contact us directly via phone or WhatsApp at +254 725 268700.
  • When you send us an email inquiry.
  • Automatically, through Google Analytics embedded on our site — which collects anonymised usage data such as pages visited, session duration, and general geographic location (country/city level only).

Marketing

If you give us your explicit consent, we may use your contact details (phone number or email) to inform you of new products, Fugo feed promotions, farming tips, or seasonal offers from Hotline Agrovet from time to time via SMS, WhatsApp, email, or phone call.

We will never send you unsolicited marketing messages without your prior consent. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by replying "STOP" to any SMS or WhatsApp message, or by contacting us directly.

How We Store Your Data

Your personal data submitted through our contact form is transmitted securely via HTTPS (TLS encryption). Form submissions are processed by our API and forwarded to our team via a secured email service.

We retain contact inquiry data for a maximum of 24 months from the date of last interaction, after which it is securely deleted unless an ongoing business relationship requires longer retention.

Website analytics data collected via Google Analytics is retained per Google's standard data retention policy (26 months) and is anonymised.

Sharing Your Data with Third Parties

We share your data with a limited set of trusted third-party services required to operate our website:

  • Vercel — our website hosting provider. Your data passes through Vercel's infrastructure when you visit our site or submit the contact form.
  • Google Analytics — collects anonymised usage data to help us understand how farmers use our website. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google beyond what is anonymised.
  • Email service provider — contact form submissions are forwarded to our team via email. Only the data you submit in the form is included.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes.

Cross-Border Data Transfer

Some of our third-party service providers (including Vercel and Google) are based outside Kenya and may store or process your data in data centres located in the United States or European Union. Where such transfers occur, we rely on the data protection standards upheld by these providers (including GDPR compliance for EU processors) to ensure your data is adequately protected.
